Product Description
Most spills occur tipping a normal can to get the spout into the tank opening before the liquid comes out, or removing the spout from the target vessel before overflowing. The No-Spill spout is fully user controlled so you tip the can vertical, insert the spout into the vessel opening, then press the button to begin and control pouring. To stop pouring simply release the button. Practically eliminates spills and overflows. The only Spill-Proof spout with thumb button control that does not push down on your tank’s filler neck to pour. More control, fewer tip-overs of your small equipment. The fastest pouring Spill-Proof nozzle available. At up to 3 gal/min, compare to other brands at 1.5 to 2.0 gal/min. Meets California Air Resources Board requirements for sale or use in California. Autostop removable nozzle, single opening for filling & pouring, treated can body for low permeation. Rear handle for pouring makes it the most user friendly CARB compliant 5 gallon can available. 6-inch Flex Spout Extension (sold separately) allows filling of on-road vehicles, boats and many other hard to reach tank openings. Now that gas cans are no longer allowed to have vents, most of them are clumsy and spill prone. Not this one – it is the best gas can I’ve owned! Well worth the money. The button makes it easy to control the flow of gas. This is especially helpful when your five-gallon can is full and the tank that you are filling is in an awkward location (such as my old sears garden tractor).

Also, the “CARB” lining of the can will help keep your gas fresh (as well as being environmentally correct). It turns out that some components of gasoline can evaporate right through the plastic the traditional cans. This means that after a month or so the composition of your gasoline will be changed. The lining on the new cans prevents this from happening.

I have tried many different types and makes of gas cans. All the new style of cans leak or eventually leak or are hard to pour. I saw this one in a home improvement magazine and figured Amazon.com has it cheaper. I brought and tried it this weekend. It worked great and no leaks! This is worth the $.

After reviewing reviews on this product and knowing that Honda is highly recommending it, I purchased 3 different sizes for 3 different applications. After receiving them, I agree that they are probably the best on the market. There are some products that are very good, but require certain sized gas tank openings to work properly, whereas, the no-spill gas cans work on any size opening. It is a pleasure to pour gas without having to unscrew a gas can cap and not spill a drop.

Update – I sent the company that makes these and email about my issue and within days I had new spouts – no questions. That is great service and makes me move my evaluation up to 4. If these new parts do not fail I give it a 5.
Original review – A friend told me about this brand and product after I complained about the lack of good gas cans that can be used without spilling. I bought two – 2.5 g and 1.25 g. One I use for regular gas and the other for 2 cycle mix. Both worked great for about a year and then both developed a crack in the white spout. The crack looks to be caused by expansion – possible due to heat in the storage shed. No-Spill has replacement parts but I beleive I will have to buy the entire nozzel assembly. We will see if the warrenty covers this problem and how much hassel there is with it. I have searched the WEB and found no reference to this problem so it may be isolated.

I give this item 5 gleaming stars because it does and excellent and easy job of filling. I first heard about this product which was one of the items mention in the “recommended but not included” list of my Honda lawnmower manual. The first time I used it, it only took me 3 seconds, yes 3 sex!! To fill my lawnmower’s tank with no spill! You just press the button and you hear a whooooosh! I thought it was air, but it was actually fuel! And it was almost at the filler neck so I gave it one more quick press and done! Filled in 3 seconds! Hey! That sounds like a movie! Yay!
